General

  • Absolutely. You don’t have to start with our intro class, but we do offer BASICS45 once a month if you’d like to ease in.

Otherwise, feel free to jump into any ride—we’ll meet you where you’re at. Just let your instructor know it’s your first time so they can help get you set up and support you throughout the class.

  • No stress—we’ve got you. Our instructors will guide you through everything. We ride to the beat of the music, but you’re always in control of your own resistance and effort. Just do your best, have fun, and don’t be afraid to modify.

  • Yes—but always check with your healthcare provider first. We’ll help you make modifications to ensure you feel safe and supported on the bike.

  • Cadence is all about rhythm, energy, and community. Expect a dark room, big sound, and lighting designed to help you tune in—not check out. Each class has its own feel: some are high-energy and hype, others are slower and more introspective. You’ll ride to the beat, move with the group, and be encouraged every step of the way.

  • Absolutely. Cadence is a proudly queer-affirming, inclusive space where all identities are welcome. We’re registered with the Safe Space Alliance, and committed to making sure everyone feels seen, respected, and supported. No matter how you identify or who you love—you belong here.

  • You need to be at least 18 to ride at Cadence. Riders aged 16–17 may ride but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times in the studio.

bookings

  • Yes! Booking ahead guarantees your spot—we fill up fast, and we want to make sure there’s a bike ready for you. You can book via our website or MINDBODY

  • Yes! If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you’ll be automatically added and notified by email or text. Just make sure your notifications are on and you’re ready to ride!

  • Life happens—we get it. You can cancel up to 4 hours before class without a fee. Late cancels and no-shows may result in a loss of credit or a fee if you’re on our unlimited membership. If something unexpected pops up, just reach out—we’ll always do our best to help.

  • First time? Arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can get you set up on the bike and settled in. Returning rider? Try to arrive 5–10 minutes before class starts.

  • Yes! When you check in at reception, you’ll have the option to choose your bike. If you don’t select one, you’ll need to wait until everyone has found their bikes and find one that’s left.

  • Sometimes. Our playlists are curated to match the vibe of each class, and occasionally that includes tracks with explicit lyrics. If you prefer clean versions or have sensitivities, just let us know—we’ll do our best to accommodate.

  • We love a good request! Chat to your instructor before or after class, email us, use our contact form, or DM us on Instagram @cadencestudionz.

Memberships & Passes

  • You should be able to do it yourself in MINDBODY, but if you’re having a hard time, reach out to us directly and we’ll take care of it. Email us at hello@cadencestudio.co.nz or chat to us in-studio.

  • Yes! You can grab a gift card online or in-studio—perfect for birthdays, thank-yous, or getting a friend hooked on the ride.

  • Our studio is located in the middle of a terrace, and unfortunately, there are stairs on either side of the entry that we’re unable to modify. We know this limits access, and we’re genuinely sorry for the barrier that creates. If you have specific needs, please reach out—we’re committed to doing what we can to adapt and support you.

  • There’s no on-site parking, but street parking is available nearby. We recommend arriving a little early to give yourself time to find a spot—especially during peak times. Check the "Our Studio" page for more info.

  • We sure do. Whether it’s a birthday, a team event, or something custom—we’d love to host you. Just get in touch and we’ll make it happen.

  • We run regular Charity Rides, where 100% of proceeds go to a chosen cause. If you’ve got a cause close to your heart, let’s chat.
