our studio

Cadence is a rhythm riding space designed with intention, inclusion, and comfort in mind.

As proud members of the Safe Space Alliance, we’re committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, seen, and supported — on and off the bike.

Our studio features private, unisex toilet cubicles and individual showers, so you can move through your pre- and post-class routines with ease and privacy. From thoughtful amenities to an energy that welcomes you in, we’ve taken care of the details so you can focus on your ride.

Centrally located just outside Auckland’s CBD, we’re easy to get to — whether you’re walking, driving, biking, or hopping off public transport.

Studio amenities

We’ve got everything you need to ride, refresh, and roll out:

  • Cycling shoes (if you don’t have your own)

  • Towel service

  • Lockers to keep your stuff safe

  • Showers with body wash, shampoo + conditioner

  • Toiletries and hairdryers

  • Filtered water station

  • Retail area with Cadence merch + ride-day essentials

Studio etiquette

We’re all about good vibes and smooth rides — here’s how to help keep the experience awesome for everyone:

Arrive on time

Doors open 15 minutes before class. If it’s your first ride, aim to arrive early so we can help with setup. Once class starts, the doors close — late entry isn’t allowed for safety and flow.

Phone-free zone

Our studio is a space to disconnect. Please leave your phone in your locker or on silent in your bag — no phones on the bikes, please.

Respect the rhythm

We ride as a crew. Try to stay with the beat when you can, and save freestyle moves for the dance floor. If you're ever unsure, follow your instructor’s lead.

Be kind, always

To the team, to your fellow riders, and to yourself. We're here to support each other — Cadence is a judgment-free zone.

Getting to the studio

biking

There is a single bike rack on Exmouth Street at the top of Basque Park. You are also more than welcome to bring your bike into the studio while you’re in class! There are stairs on the footpath outside of the studio but many Cadence riders and staff bring their bikes into our reception area for safe storage. It’s easiest to come from Dundonald Street as there are fewer stairs on that side and you are coming down the stairs rather than going up.

public transport

Our closeness to New North Road makes us well connected to the city by bus. This is very popular among our riders that live or work in the city. You can use google maps or the AT (Auckland Transport) Mobile app to plan your journey using public transportation.

walking

One of the great things about the location of Cadence is the proximity to the suburbs and the city. Many of our staff and riders live or work within the area and arrive at the studio on foot.

The footpath outside of the studio is steep and there are stairs on both sides of the entrance. We are exploring options to make the studio more accessible but unfortunately outside of our control at this time.

parking

The most reliable car parking we’ve found is on Exmouth Street around the top of Basque Park. You can usually find a space on Exmouth or Norwich Street. There is some street parking on Basque Road and Dundonald Street (where your GPS is likely to take you) but it’s usually easier to find somewhere below the studio on Exmouth. It’s worth noting that the studio is part way up (or down) a hill so no matter where you park, there will be some walking involved.
